Eka Lolua

Eka Lolua is a doctoral student at the Faculty of Law of East European University and, at the same time, a visiting lecturer at the same university in the fields of European Union Law and Energy Law.
Eka holds Bachelor’s and Master’s academic degrees in Law from Caucasus University. To enhance her professional qualifications, she has studied at the University Institute of European Studies and the Centre for Studies on Federalism (UIES, Italy), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB, Belgium), the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA, Luxembourg), the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), and through the HarvardX program.
Eka Lolua has more than 10 years of professional experience. Among other roles, she has worked at the National Food Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture on legislative approximation issues with the European Union (EU CIB Project). From 2016 to 2018, she held the position of Head of the European Integration Division at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Since 2018, she served as a legal adviser at JSC “Energotrans” on the project for establishing the Georgian Energy Exchange. From 2019 to 2020, she worked as a lawyer at the Georgian State Electrosystem and participated in the electricity market reform process. In various positions, Eka Lolua has been involved in managing projects funded by the European Union and the United States.
