THE FIFTH STAGE OF THE SIMULATION TRADE WAS HELD IN SEPTEMBER

In Scope of the fifth phase of joint simulation of the Exchange and the Balancing and Ancillary Services Market, a test trade on the Day-ahead market was held on September 9th -15th, 2021. Up to 40 companies traded on daily bases during these seven days.

Exchange and  Balancing and Ancillary Services Market Operators held an  online meeting  in order  to share information with the market participants  related to simulation trades, like as detailed plan and the results of the previous trades - this serves to improve the planning of  trading, as well as to increase efficiency of participation

At this stage of the simulation trade, all participants had access to the Clearing and Settlement System (CASS) on the trading platform, where they had possibility to observe in real time the financial results of their trade (including receiving invoices) and existing trading limits.. For the purpose to determine trading limits, participants provided information on  desired amount of Collateralwas reflected in the CASS by the Exchange Operator

Hence, at this stage of the test trade, participants had the opportunity to experience the full cycle of trading on the exchange - from presenting a guarantee to receiving an invoice, without financial obligation imposed on simulation participants

The trade conducted without any special shortcomings. Receiving and processing orders on the trading platform, as well as submission of nominations to the Balancing and Ancillary Services Market Operator was smooth. Almost all participants placed the orders with no technical errors, without assistance of the Exchange Operator.

During the test trades, participants continued to test their trading strategies. Considering that   production and consumption capacities were not fully represented in the test trade, the results obtained during the test simulation are not a reliable indicator to forecast the real market results.

For your information, the joint simulation of the Exchange and the Balancing and Ancillary Services Market, , is carried out from April 2021 as  it is scheduled by the Action Plan.
