DAY-AHEAD AND INTRADAY MARKETS SET TO LAUNCH ON JULY 1, 2024

The Government of Georgia has approved amendments to the Electricity Market Model through Resolution #181, passed on June 4, 2024. These updates modify the previously established Resolution #246 from April 16, 2020, which concerns the "Approval of the Concept of the Electricity Market Model."

Under the revised Market Concept Design, the Day-ahead and Intraday markets are set to launch on July 1, 2024. However, the introduction of the Balancing and Ancillary Services Market has been deferred until July 1, 2025.
